Corporate Governance
Transparency and financial accountability
SCAI and its partners in Nepal are fully transparent in their operations and strictly adhere to the Government regulations both in Australia and in Nepal. The SCAI committee regularly reviews our mission statement, objectives, philosophies, resources and financial position and compliance in legal, statutory and ethical matters. Both SCAI Australia and Sunrise Orphanage Nepal are audited on an annual basis.
SCAI was endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) in June 2010. All tax deductible donations are held in a separate non-profit public fund, established and operated in Australia. The public fund is administered by the Public Fund Committee, made up of 3 Trustees based in Adelaide.
We would to thank our book-keepers from DFK Gray Perry and our auditors from BDO Kendalls in Australia, who generously offer their services to ensure we maintain accountability and transparency in our operations.
