Bringing a brighter future to the needy children of Nepal.
Mission
SCAI is committed to helping alleviate poverty amongst underprivileged children and youth in Nepal and the communities in which they live. Through working in partnership with local communities to provide education, training, development and income generating opportunities, SCAI aims to co-create long term sustainable solutions, with improved standards of living and reduced dependence on external assistance.
Philosophies
Empowering the locals in need to help themselves, by providing training programs that develop relevant skills, leading to employment and self-sufficiency.
Develop and facilitate projects and various programs by working in consultation ‘with’ local people and communities developing sustainable practices.
Encourage active participation by the community in identifying needs, developing, designing, implementing and evaluating projects in partnership, empowering them with a greater sense of ownership, responsibility, and community participation.
Working in partnership with local people and/or communities to identify and tackle the causes of poverty with long term goals, through open, honest, mutually respectful and transparent communication.
Focusing on youth as leaders and facilitators for change.
Equality amongst people of any religion, gender, political preference, ethnic group or background.
Creating positive development change that brings about permanent solutions and produces benefits in the community that is ongoing and sustainable.
