Partnerships

Working in close partnership with local government and community groups will ensure that SCAI’s work is undertaken in a collaborative and culturally sensitive manner.

Efficiency in management and daily operations

Both the Australian and Nepali committee members are educated professionals, working closely together to achieve common goals.

We have a very strict policy about keeping overheads and administration costs to an absolute minimum, to ensure that as much money as possible goes directly towards the care of the children.

We ensure this by:

  1. All management staff and committee members in Australia and Nepal are volunteers.
  2. All Australian administrative costs are met by the management committee, which means that 100% of funds raised go directly to supporting the children.
  3. Nepali administrative costs are closely audited and kept to a minimum.
  4. Personally keeping direct involvement with our Nepali team. At least one SCAI management committee member will be in Nepal every year to monitor progress and results.

Transparency and financial accountability

SCAI is fully transparent in its operations and strictly adhere to the Government regulations both in Australia and in Nepal.

  1. Annual professional auditing in Australia and Nepal.
  2. Profit and Loss Statement for financial year 2005-2006
  3. Projected budget for 2006-2007
